Mono Lake Bucket Brigrade

For Earth Day 2021. Active Resistance. Mono Lake Bucket Brigrade. circa 1982. A group of us from the Mono Lake Committee, Mono Lake Coalition, Audubon Society and supporters collected Lee Vining Creek water above the Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power Diversion Tunnel and walked the water down about 3.5 miles to where it belonged, in Mono Lake.

Anna’s Hummingbird. Golden Gate Park. 2021. He perched there displaying a wonderland of color change, creating a constant state of amazement as I kept watching through the lens. It was hard to walk away, but after 162 photographs, I did finally and reluctantly realize there was more I wanted to yet see in the park on this outing.
