Rays through Clouds

As I was fine-tuning my HDR Lecture for tonight, I came across these light rays pouring though a small break in this luscious sky over the Pacific. It was just before the pandemic and seemed symbolic of the hope we all need now.

Cloud Shadows

The cloud shadow sky show leaving Dinosaur Point, San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area last night. I was amazed by the drama, and spent a few minutes trying just the clouds, the road and sky (which required an HDR set) and both verticals and horizontals.

Ferns Golden Gate Park

Wandering the Aids Grove in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park a few days ago with one of my best friends, brought many nice experiences, among them this play of dancing ferns. In color, the photograph was fine, and realistic. But a black and white version seemed to give an almost dancing sculpture quality to the image.

Fire Cloud

Pinnacles National Monument Fire. Driving north along Highway 101, we saw the smoke rising. 171 acres burned, started 7/28/21, 100% contained 7/31/21.
